My mom visited her sister (which also is my aunt) at Tembilahan, Riau for more than a week. Pretty lame, cause i knew my sisters will depends on me when it come to tummy problems. So when mom is outta town, I cooked. Well, it was really not a real cooking i have to say. I made my own meal, the very easy ones and the instant way to feed this rubber belly. I should be ashamed, at this age I just gotta make this kinda stuff :(
I think as a human being, we gotta appreciate our self with delightful food so we could thank to God that we’re living such a graceful life. Food is a heaven sent from God, i assure that to you ehehehe. Sooo, can you tell me guys, what's your favorite food to make? Have you ever fail making it? Fyi, i failed to make the fettucini alio oglio, the pasta was under cook. I also once failed to make pancakes that the final result was just like a slight bread haha. Failure is always the best way to learn, like KOC lyric said hihi. And I think nothing can really stop us as long as we try our best, rite? I promise my self to learn tastiest yum yum recipes so that I can fulfill my prime needs of food. I don't mind if you'd like to share your experience in food to me. Must have been a pleasure to know it.
cornflakes cereal with caramel topping
smoked beef and cheese toast
french fries with mix of mayonnaise and chili
chicken siomay dimsum from fiesta, i just steam it :p
fettucini alio oglio, a bit disappointing :(
This idea firstly came out when Rossa told me that there’s gonna be a knitting workshop class in Tupperware Home at Tirtayasa. Then I arranged it, asked a bunch of friends to participate, and finally it was just Rossa, Alfreda, Ella, and Karina (Ocha’s college buddy) who attending to the knitting class. The free of charge thingy is the coolest part that i can offer to them, lol. Oh i forgot to introduce you to Alfreda and Ella. Freda is my big mouthed-highschool friend with a big heart :p meanwhile Ella is my old buddy from elementary and juniorhigh school.
We showed up to the Tupperware Home with no clue at all. I was told by Mbak Lini who gave us this opportunity that the lecturer is from Tobucil. What’s Tobucil then? After we played some warm up game with tooth paste as a tool and listened but with not paying attention too much to the sales mam from Tupperware, and finally we found out what on earth Tobucil is (not quite clear actually).
Tobucil is a club hobby who support literacy movement in a local level based on some kind of daily activities like reading, writing, appreciation, and hobby development. Literacy for Tobucil not only means reading and writing skills, but also includes the ability to read the environment critically, and the courage to understand ourselves as an independent people who got the potential to grow and to contribute for changes. And, this knitting workshop class is one of those activities from Tobucil also with The Man Who Knit. If you wanna know the details about Tobucil, click here. And if you wanna shop via online, click here to see the goods from the catalogue. And wow, a talented young lecturer lady posted this workshop event to her blog. Check here if you’d like to.
So, the five of us and other fellas have been taught how to knit the very simple technique, just using our hands for a beginner like us. I might say that I enjoooooooy knitting, it was fun!! We even had a race who could knit the longest until they (Tobucil and The Man Who Knit) said stop. One of the lecturer said that when you’re knitting while talking, then you’re getting better. He said again, “It only took 10 minutes to finish this simple knitting.” It was nearly impossible since this is the first time for me knitting.
I knew what I and my mates learnt at the workshop was just easy as abc, but there are a lot of techniques that we gotta learn more for making shawl, beanie hat, sweater, cardigan, dress (what I really intend to make), and so on. I’m planning to learn knitting again. I hope there’s gonna be another workshop or maybe the knitting course in Jakarta (Tobucil is from Bandung), so we can seize our time and day with beneficial activity, and not wasting it. AMEN.
Heeey, here are some pics I got. And if you eagerly wanna learn what I knew from this class, ask me too. Or perhaps we could take this knitting course together, why not?? :D
